KCBC’s anti-liquor campaign!

Kerala Catholic Bishops Council (KCBC) campaign for anti-liquor X’mas this year has yielded fruits! This year X’mas sale of liquor at Beverages outlets recorded a net sale of Rs 90.8 crore, a 7.5 percent increase compared to last year. The figure is likely to augment further in coming years even if clergies instantly stop consuming wine .

Vellappally Natesan- the new liberator of Kerala

While Chakkulathu Nampoori making Preethi Natesan the country’s own goddess, her husband Vellappally Natesan appears as the saviour of Kerala. He crosses the border from LDF to UDF by denouncing M A Baby one day over a major issue and praises P K Sreemathy the other day for a silly matter. He scolds K R Gouriamma, the veteran politician and comes heavily on LDF government for sanctioning Foreign Liquor outlets indiscriminately. Wonderfully, his kin has five foreign liquor outlets at Cherthala town alone and that too received during LDF regime. How is that?

Sasi’s soliloquy

CPM Kannur district secretary P Sasi has been removed from his post based on a compliant from a DYFI leader. The severity of the complaint is an open secret that Sasi keeps a long term ‘nerve complaint’ and could be cured only when he is taken to the south. Sasi now says to himself: “ if this is the go on of the party to leaders like him then there would be none in the party including a few ministerial colleagues”.

Psychotherapy of liquor victims!

Comrade Pinarayi administers psychotherapy for liquor victims by saying that more money than that earned from liquor sales in Kerala is spent for rehabilitation of liquor victims in the state. One wonders why, then, the Government waste its money and energy by keeping opened innumerable Beverages outlets at thickly populated junctions blocking public commute.
Seemingly boozers are a privileged class in Kerala where they could affront anyone on their way still getting ample protection from the police and adequate rehabilitation from the government.

Who are you SPCS Obama?

Seemingly the kith and kin of Thakazhi and Vayalar are in desperate need for money. By seeing the sad faces of Thakzhy’s wife Katha and Vayalar’s son Sarath, the Kerala Cooperation ministers G Sudhakaran sensed so and hence decided to give a cash award of Rs 1.25 lakh.
The first SPCS awards to Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai and Vayalar Rama Varma are seemingly Sundhakaran’s ruse to hoodwink the public when thousands of Endosuplfan victims are craving for food and medicine at Kasargod. Why Sudhakaran could not see other Jnanapeedom awardees from Kerala for the SPCS award who are equally creditable as Thakazhy and Vayalar. May be, being the Minister in charge of Alappuzha district, his regional interest that swayed the Cooperation Minister to ignore the name of ace writer Basheer. Does it Thakazhy or Muttathu Varkey outnumber in SPCS publications?

Most probably next year’s award will be to Sudhakaran himself for his poetic tribute as a minister. His work“ Who are you Obama?’’ is unquestionably an award winning masterpiece!

Kodiyeri’s skin deepness.

Skin deepness of Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan is high; otherwise he might not have claimed in the manner that increased polling percentage in the local body elections is due to better law and order condition in the state.

Marxist goons along with LC Secretary and party candidate attacking the woman presiding officer at the S.L. Puram school booth for not allowing one criminal to vote without documents is a valid proof for Kodiyeri’s law and order. A goon cutting the hand of the Sub Inspector on duty is also an example of law and order. Channel displays of wide spread street fight and Minister G Sudhakarn’s outburst against poll officials and police also confirm Kodiyeri’s claim.
Inefficacy of Kodiyeri’s police and Election Commission’s ineptness to conduct free and fair election made the entire poll scenario vicious. Kerala Election Commssion permitting voters to cast vote without valid identification document turned the situation aggressive.
If the same Election Commission officials and the Kodiyeri poice are going to conduct the impending election to Assembly it will be more a horrible replication of this muddled election.

Pinarayi’s ‘no problem’ with Christians is fake.

Kerala CPM Secretary Pinarayi’s present care for Christian community is insincere. It is intended to get a few votes in this election and in the coming ones. The Christian clergies in Kerala feel like ‘cats fallen in hot water’. They never believe Pinarayi, who once called their bishop as ‘disgusting creature’.

The crude strategies of Pinarayi scolding the Bishops first and then sending the two ‘altar boys’ viz Thomas Isaac and M A Baby for reconciliation are known to all and this time this tactics will not work. What Marxist leaders need is faithfulness in their approach to all sections of the society. Majority communal appeasement by denouncing others is detrimental for the party this time.

Sonia Gandhi should be more vigil!

No doubt, it was a matter of high embarrassment for Congress in Kerala when AICC spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi appeared in the high court for promoters of other state lotteries at a time when the party is engaged in a bitter battle against the LDF government over the lottery issue. All the time Oommen Chandy and V D Satheesan are pooh-poohing Dr T M Thomas Isaac and the CPM for alleged involvement in the fake lotteries, but with Singhvi’s entry into the issue helped Isaac to pooh-pooh Chandy and Satheesan in return.

More interesting is the findings of Pinarayi and Kodyeri that it was Sonia Gandhi who deputed Singhvi to protect Santiago Martin in lottery case. So, hereinafter Sonia Gandhi should be more vigilant otherwise Kodiyeri’s agents at Delhi will unearth all undergrounds of Sonia Gandhi.

Stand-up debate on lottery

Sir,
News men asked Kerala Lottery Minister Thomas Isaac and V D Sathhesan M L A about the outcome of their stand-up debate on other states’ lottery. Both admitted that the debate was of much impact. What they intended is: the Marxist party could not avoid considering Isaac as Chief Minister and Oommen Chandy could not avoid Satheesan from a Ministerial berth when LDF and UDF assume power. That is all.

The looting of common people by lottery mafia will continue unabated whoever assumes power after next election.

Setback for cultural supremo Dr Azhikode

It is really a setback for Dr Sukumar Azhikode, the cultural supremo of Kerala for having ignored by Co-operation Minister G Sudhakaran to release the CD containing poems of the latter. Sudhakaran invited Azhikode’s adversary actor Mohanlal to release the disc. In one facet it is good for Azhikode that he having not invited by Sudhakaran because if Azhikode gets a chance to read the poems of Sudhakaran he might have destroyed the disc. Film actors are often not much gifted to read and appreciate Malayalam poetry, especially that are written by ministers.

Former Union minister Shashi Tharoor tied the knot with Sunanda Pushkar in a typical Malayali wedding ceremony. Tharoor's sons by his first marriage Eshan and Kanishk and Sunanda’s son were present at the occasion. The emotional moments of Tharoor and Sunanda were also shared by Mani Shankar Aiyer and a few dignitaries.

Getting married before the sons and daughters is a wonderful occurrence for national leaders in India. And the leaders of Congress too can practice this if they so consider it as an intelligent act by Tharoor.

After eight days of suffering for 2000 thousand policemen and all the people in and around Anwarsseri PDP chief Abdul Nazir Maudany was arrested for his alleged involvement in the 2008 Bangalore bombings. He has been taken to the Karnataka capital for next surprise to Keralaites.

For PDP vice chairman Poonthura Siraj, Madani is a person who prays all the 23½ hours a day and get rarely half hour for a sleep. Hoodwinking Indian Judiciary

The Karnataka high court has rejected the anticipatory bail petition of Abdul Nassar Madani, the PDP Chairman, the 31st accused in the 2008 Bangalore serial blasts case. On hearing this news Madani said he was expecting it. And the Fast Track Court when denied bail to him in the beginning Madani said he was expecting it. However, Madani has decided to approach the SC against HC order and preferably after SC verdict Madani’s comment would be like wise. He will, thereafter, approach the International court of justice.
The whole episode is a vivid example of how the Indian Judiciary can be hoodwinking by hard core criminals having unaccounted money from dubious source.

He instructed all the PWD Engineers of Kerala to purchase digital camera and take photographs of all the potholes on PWD roads and upload in the website. Mr Madani living lavishly under human shield at Anwarsseri is repeatedly making dictions in channels. However, he is absconding, according to police force. Madani is able to file bail application too in the Karnataka High Court The whole incident is a sheer mockery to Indian Judicial system.

The Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Bangalore, again extended the non-bailable warrant it had earlier issued against Madani. Abdul Nasser Madani-another Delhi Imam.

Abdul Nasser Madani, the Kerala PDP Supremo, is to make himself another Delhi Imam, free from any rule of the land. I don’t think the Karnataka police or even the Indian army could arrest this man from the Anwarsseri shield where hundreds of child orphans are held on to protect Madani. More surprising is the foul play by the Kerala police in not giving necessary backing to Karnataka police for arresting Madani. Mr Madani, the key accused in the Bangalore Bombings case is safe at Awarsseri in the middle of hundreds of orphans.

It is discreditable to note that police personnel reached Anvarssery to arrest the PDP men observing protest fast was obstructed by the protesters. The fasting men refused to cooperate with the doctors and the police. Seemingly the ‘pandal’ and other paraphernalia arranged for protest tempt an outsider to observe a fast simply for an experience. More interesting is Madani’s wife asking permission from court to see his husband at Anwarsseri. Why can’t Madani go to Kochi and see his wife who is allegedly in mental agony due to police ‘harassment’ and subsequent frustration.

Madani is under Category-B security of Kerala police. Then why can’t the Kerala police to take Madani to Karnataka and take him back safely? Surely, it is not Kerala police, but the political bosses are responsible for the sort of comedy now enacted at Anwarsseri.

Did the Department ever note the revealing of researchers that school based sex education classes have had little effect on reported sexual behaviour among African adolescents. Researchers from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), and the Tanzanian National Institute for Medical Researches Mwanza Research Centre (NIMR Mwanza) exposed that there was no significant impact on pregnancies or sexually transmitted infections due to school based sex education.

The findings are published in the PLoS Medicine.

Mobile impact

The arrest of the two escapees within three days after the Kannur jailbreak is a major confidence booster for the police in Kannur. Thanks to mobile phone industry without which the police could not have achieved this bravura result. Mobile phone is not only a gadget for crime, but it can be advantageously used for tracking criminals. Think twice before totally banning cell phones from campuses as campuses are now become havens of borne criminals.

I feel pity for the two prison jumpers. They need right away whole body massage with all Ayurvedic oils. The lesson to criminals now in jail who have future plans to jump out is: get a thorough coaching from those criminals who are not yet caught in police net. Cell phone tuition from Chacko murder fame Sukumara Kurup can be considered in that case. And the lesson to the valentine criminals is: never trust a woman.

Premium joke

One of the finest jokes cracked every year in Kerala is the entrance examination held by the self-financing medical college managements. It is an examination with no disappointment and hence no ‘SAY’ examination is conducted after it. If one writes this examination he is admitted to a professional degree course and one does not write this examination, he is also admitted. The only criterion is money and if a person is ready to pay at a bargain price no seat will be denied to any one. A 50 plus lakh holder of fixed deposit in a commercial bank can straight away enter into the auction deal for MBBS seat and for that test and other equipment are irrelevant.

The interesting thing is the minor scuffle at test centres during examination time by the activists of various student organizations and the police. Student leaders need to shed out their flab and that is why this little drama.

Musical door competition.

In a musical chair competition there are a dozen players and a dozen minus one chairs, that is, one chair less than the number of players. The play is performed at the stroke of a bell and one person is left at the end and he would be the winner. In a similar manner a new competition was invented by the UDF in Kerala and it is known as ‘musical door competition’. The number players required is three to four, however, a closed room to which others have no access, is essential. This play was performed last by three political achievers in Kerala namely K M Mani, Remesh Chennithala, and Oommen Chandy. They are all competitors for Chief Ministerial post in the coming election. The three had already given orders to their tailors for making white clothes suited for the chair of Chief Minister.

The play was performed by the three last day in the presence of reporters. The three would enter into a room and close the door. After five minute one would come out and give some information to the news men. He returns and after five minute the other comes out to news men opening the same door. It is repeated turn by turn and the person who makes maximum number of appearance before the reporters is the potential candidate for the Chief Minister post. This competition is performed to go ahead with the decision to “agree to disagree” till the issue of Joseph merger with Mani could be settled later.

Actually the LDF and UDF are worried over the laxity of the people to vote in the next election. And without energizing them these leaders could not take people to polling booths. And that is why the UDF has invented the musical door completion. A similar one will be performed by the LDF soon to woo the people.

Corruption charges against P J Joseph

Former minister P J Joseph is an ardent faithful and he could not hereinafter remain without kissing the hands of Bishops or continue working with godless Marxists. So he quit the Left Front. Annoyed with this Finance Minister Thomas Isaac has framed corruption charges against Joseph and Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan confirmed the charges. Do these charges valid if Joseph is still in the LDF?

When Joseph was quit, it was reported that his portfolio was handed over to the CM. But amazingly it was TM Thomas Isaac who levelled charges against Joseph. Is Isaac a super power in the LDF cabinet? There is corruption in all ministers’ departments and if any doubt, ask Transport minister Thettayil. Why then the inquiry is made against Joseph alone? Isaac has a strong inspection wing and hence I ask Isaac to send his inspection team to A K Balan’s Electricity Board where crores of rupees are drawn off for replacing incandescent bulbs by harmful compact fluorescent lamps. Isaac’s inspection wing should hold inquiry into all government departments and sort out irregularities. The action of inspection wing should be for finding corruption and not for political vengeance.

IG and AG

CAT’s order to reinstate suspended IG Tomin J Thachankary is not the end of the tunnel. The DGP’s report on the controversial foreign trip made by Thachankary shows the argument made by him does not stand. How can one justify his mistake by explicating the fault of others? Reports pour in the sense that the CM of the State is a lesser person than an IG and the IG could Act as he wish. The dubious stance taken by the AG of Kerala is seemingly a part of the rift between the two factions of Marxist party. What is the use of AG of the sort who never pleads for his client?

“Caesar's wife must be above suspicion”-Tharoor too.

“Caesar's wife must be above suspicion” is a famous proverb. The meaning is:
the associates of public figures must not even be suspected of wrongdoing. Is it not applicable to Union Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor, the associate of the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh? Some people arguing in favour of Tharoor says:“the Minister has the freedom to keep his personal secrets”. This argument is undesirable.

Who is this Sunanda Pushkar? She has 18 percent stake in the Rendezvous consortium, new sponsor for IPL from Kochi. Tharoor says he has no relation with Pushkar, but media reports say otherwise. Sunanda is going to be his third wife after Thilothama and Christa. Tharoor is in the making of a Krishna (not his cabinet minister)

It is the western culture to have more than one wife. However, the people there never permit their leaders to have more than one wife. If a leader has unholy relation with his secretary or subordinate he has to face the music and that we have seen in the case of American President Bill Clinton. But in India the situation is different. While ordinary people lead a contented life with one wife and one family the leaders have a different set up. Shashi Tharoor is a minister with western culture so he ought to have followed the culture of western leaders but he advantageously adopted the Indian culture. The Prime Ministr Manmohan Singh should ask his minister to follow the western culture of leaders or at least ask him to stop his soul searching with Sunanda Pushkar.

Wonderful indeed Kerala Cooperation Minister G Sudhakaran writing and reciting a piece called ‘poem’ at Sahithya Sangamam organised by the Sahithya Pravarthaka Cooperative Society at Thrissur. Food Mela at Mannanchery.

The Food Mela at Mannanchery, Alappuzha was a big success with Kerala Finance Minister T M Thomas Isaac along with local leaders tasting lip-smacking 101 vegetables curries and fifteen varieties of rice items. Food-lovers were rushed to the spot and at what extent their taste buds worked is a question without answer. Really it was an opportunity to taste exquisite cuisines at one place for the villagers.

Nonetheless, the Minister in charge of Alappuzha district G Sudhakaran was not invited to the Mela. It is now a practice in Alappuzha whether it is Bt Brinjal protest, Fish Mela or what else, Sudhakaran is avoided and Minister Thomas Isaac often steals the show. May be Sudhakaran is less intelligent than Isaac to devise innovative schemes such as Food Mela to attract the local public. It is all good for Isaac at Mararikulam now if the constituency is not reserved for women in the coming election. Local leaders like R Nasser, the Alappuzha District Panchayat President, are always behind Isaac ignoring Sudhakaran.

Food Mela also witnessed some vicious scenes. Elderly people often get annoyed when food is supplied by persons wearing folded dhoti. Nasser was one of the food suppliers of the Mela but presented himself with folded ‘mundu’ above his knees with a piece of tobacco under his tongue. The women eaters got annoyed but did not register their protest because he is the District Pancahayat President and role model of all the eaters present. Though Isaac was also wearing mundu it was not seen outside because of his floor-sweeping kurtha.

Even old foxes are in collision course with Sania on hearing the news of her marriage with a Pakistan cricketer. The cricketer from the enemy country robbed her heart by pushing all her lovers in India to utter misery. Harsh words against Sania were originated from this despair.

News of inclusion of Kochi in the Indian Premier League is matter of great joy and pride for many. And for them cricket is thrill and money. It is Union Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor who holds pivotal role in taking Kochi to the IPL. Truly Tharoor is not a cattle class minister, he is a minister suited for five star hotels. The Kochi IPL franchisee was for Rs 1,533.32 crore and money will be spent by Rendezvous Sports Kerala Consortium. On hearing this few may think that these people are so generous to the people of Kerala. Spending money for cricket is only a business, a business for profit making. And when this business is done in March the losers are lakhs of families from where the students write their annual examination. The IPL has made every household a war room where the parents miserably fail in holding back their children from TV screen. NREGP for CPM renovation

The CPM in Kerala has understood well the return from the National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme (NREGP). All persons who assemble before the BSNL offices for the sit-in-strike against the Central Government, paralyzing all work and blocking road traffic, despite court orders, will be adequately paid from NREGP. The days for which strikers get NREGP payment, however, may not exactly coincide with the days of strike. The strike will end with in five days and strikers’ duty will be accounted for an equivalent number of days in a later occasion. How wise the CPM managers in Kerala to use Centre’s money against Centre!

Seemingly, NREGP is poorly drafted programme with reduced surveillance. The work allotment, quantum of work and the payment are done on party basis. The Party leaders get their courtyard cleaned free of cost when public places are filled with garbage and filth. Instead of sending NREGP workers to public places like bus stations, hospitals and roadsides for cleaning, they are deputed for house cleaning of party bigwigs. Diverting NREGP fund to invigorate CPM organization and feeder outfits is apparently obnoxious. The CPM misuses NREGP to revitalize the already sluggish cadres.

The Central Government, therefore, should enquire the matter and do the needful immediately. The current agitation by CPM against Centre has nothing to do with price rise. The hollowness of their strike is evident when they hiked bus fare ignoring people’s sentiment. The current five-day blockade before the Central Government offices is apoorly crafted drama to hoodwink the people and thereby to siphon out NREGP money for party’s growth.

I thought it was the hand work his rival in the party G Sudhakaran but later understood that Sudhakran’s men have no link in it. The fire is due to a short circuit in the AC when Isaac was out from the chamber. Thanks to the Almighty for having us his suitcase containing the State budget, his blanket transformed jubbah and his specially designer beard-all intact!

Is Mohanlal the lowest rival for Azhikode?

I was wondering why Vellappally Natesan, the SNDP Yogam General Secretary is sitting idle keeping his mouth shut when his all time opponent Sukumar Azhikode is busy engaged in war of words with Malayalam cine artists. Finally Vellappally has appeared in the scene putting more oil into the fire. Vellappally’s raucous outbursts would make the situation worse. The Malayalis are now going to add more words of filth in their conversational lingo.

The Azhikode-Mohanlal fight has been going on for the last few days and it has gathered momentum with actor Innocent’s subtext of comparing Azhikode as “a hungry man seeing chakkakkoottan”. Meanwhile, thespian Thilakan, with his crippled leg, is visiting all the Arts and Science Colleges in Kerala, forgetting his old-age ailments, to inaugurate the annual day celebrations free of cost. He even refuses to accept the taxi-fair offered by the college union office bearers. However, his visit to a Kottarakkara college was not too soft as he expected. Thilakan did not recall the fact that skin thickness of politicians is higher than that of cine stars. Ganesh Kumar of Kottarakkara is not only a cine star but a hard core politician.

Vellappally asks Azhikode not to use language that makes fun of someone's exterior. And that is true when one watches the 32 teeth smile of Vellappally. He says that it is ironic that Azhikode who is not much of a handsome man himself is ridiculing the glamorous superstars. The snap from Azhikode is not received yet and can expect a levelheaded one from him immediately.

For Azhikode, Vellappally and Mohanlal are two among his innumerable opponents like K Karunakaran, Padmanabhan, Veerendrakumar and others. Mohanlal is his opponent in the lowest grade. I want to know whether there is any chance for elevating Moahanlal a step above Vellappally Natesan.

‘Yugapurushan’ is not suited to swamis.

Film director Sukumaran is likely to lose the cost of big budget film ‘Yugapusharan’ as takers of the film are not many. He criticizes the Keralaites in general and the Swamis of Sivagiri in particular.

What I have to inform Mr Sukumaran is; priests of Sivagiri are heavenly people and they are not interested in earthly pleasures. Going to cinema theatre, waiting in queue and enjoying the stunt scene of Mammootty or Babu Antony are all meant of ordinary folk and not the way of swamis. Moreover, a film endorsed by Vellapply Natesan and his wife Preethi Natesan is not at all a matter of interest for Gokulam Gopalan and his swami friends. Gokulam has arranged for swamis a special show of his Mulakkacha fame Pazhassi Raja instead.

Youngsters of Kerala deserve dignity.

The future of Kerala and the people who would take Kerala further ahead in the growth and progress in all fields, is none other than our children and youngsters
Nevertheless, where is our state government heading by ignoring the future of them?
The difficulty our youth is facing is joblessness, no career counselling and no kindness from elders who are employed. The employed ones want to stick their post until death by hook or crook. If it is possible to avert death by any means to stick into the job employees would certainly do that. Since it is impossible they allure the minister to enhance the retirement age. The minister has no particular interest in all these silly matters and he thinks of total flood after him. He needs to keep in possession all the money possible with him and hence thinks of enhancing the retirement age. If there is no retirement the money so accumulated can be used for other works of his personal interest. The situation is one of un-certainty and hence a good many youngsters fled from state in search of jobs and committed suicide because of sheer despair. The despondency and frustration builds up in youngsters because of no job offer to them by the government.

I saw a lot of young boys and girls with no hope in their eyes and are seemingly disturbed because of limited job opportunities in the state. In many schools and colleges where salary is given by the government, the appointments are merely farce. Only the influential and rich people are employed, but poor and meritorious are get ridiculed. Advertisements in newspapers for jobs in schools and colleges are just only a formality to hoodwink the degree holders to collect Rs 500 from them as application money but the job has been reserved for the kin. The interview board members like government nominee and subject expert are very often dining table partners of the school-college manager when sumptuous meals are served at the course of interview. There is not even a single incident a government nominee objecting the corrupt act of a college manager. Can any one identify a new recruit of other community in colleges run by communal outfits-I mean Nair, Ezhava, Muslim and Xian? A lot of talent of the youths is being wasted in mock interviews and they finally seek refuge in illegal businesses. And then the option for the government is to strengthen the police for to contain the ‘miscreants’. Of, course there is recruitment in police force and not in other departments.

Either males or females the truth leftover is that our youths have been deserted thoroughly by the state government. The State, which boosts of high literacy and way of living, should give the dignity the youths deserve by not inviting them to sell lottery. Let the lottery vending be reserved for those with no means and the handicapped.

Marriage as per CPM rule book

That was the second marriage as per party rule book. The marriage was that of London return Vivek Kiran, son of CPM State secretary, with Deepa. The first of its kind was in May 2008 when Pinarayi’s daughter Veena exchanged garlands to Suneesh. There was no feast; instead a small cup of payasam was served to all those present. Vijayan personally supervised all the arrangements then and insisted that there should be no diversion of traffic that would affect the common man because common man is his top priority. This time too payasam was comrades’ essential dish, but regarding traffic jam common man was sent to corner. Even megastar Mammootty was held up in the traffic block for one hour and he made a big sacrifice by leaving away his Lance cruise car and hired an auto rickshaw to reach the spot to bless the newly wedded.

And more interesting is the cross-section of the guests gathered for the function. All cats and dogs were invited. The first noticeable figure was Kerala CM VS Achuthananadan. And most probably he was the centre attraction next to the couples for obvious reasons. There were also Vellappally Natesan and Gokulam Gopalan, the two stalwarts of Ezhava community untiringly working for the uplift of their community. Oommen Chandy-Chennithala duo, the new incarnation of Karunakaran-K M Chandy duo were also present and any difference for them with Pinarayi is for common man and when they gather around dining table they are birds of the same feather. Nevertheless, the absence of Bishop Joseph Powethil, Andrew Thazhath, A P Abdullakutty, M P Veendrakuamr like ‘disgusting creatures’ was conspicuous.

The CPM asks the cadres to see that marriages ceremonies are held in a simple manner and in Pinarayi’s son’s case it was totally simple. No common man was allowed to travel a lot to reach Pinarayi’s palatial bungalow to witness the marriage. The marriage was arranged advantageously at a convenient spot for common man. The money spent by innumerable invitees for travel and stay to attend the marriage is not all Pinarayi’s money.

What for this government?

One could not understand the need for all the ministers and innumerable bureaucrats in the Government of Kerala when all the decisions regarding good governance are taken by the High Court. Since the High Court is flooded with countless cases originated from the thoughtlessness of the State Government ordinary people get little chance to settle their disputes in the court. The Division Bench of the Kerala High Court asking the State Government why it was hesitating to take action against those who trespassed into properties by taking the law into their hands at Wayanad is a pertinent question; nevertheless the shameless ministers of the state cabinet consider it as approbation.

By inviting the court to issue orders to initiate action in all day-to-day matters the State Cabinet is absconding from their responsibility. If this partisan and inefficient approach continues, the court would have to then prepare the State annual budget too. The State is severe debt trap and the Kerala Finanace Minister hopes for some miracles to happen in March to save his designer face. The law and order problem in the State has become a party affair. The followers of Marxist party (of course not CPI-they are at the receiving end) and those pretend as their well-wishers can carry on peacefully in the State.

Traitor-Thackeray or Sharukh?

Dear Editor:The Shiv Sena and MNS are seemingly parties of goons intended to spoil quietness of the country. When all religions teach love, Thackeray’s religion preaches hatred. Bal Thackeray, a spent force, is desperately manipulating tricks for the political survival of his family. And in that context I would like to join with the comment of ShriShri Ravisanker that Thakckerays should learn art of living to stop hate practice. When Thackeray call actor Sha Rukh a traitor, I have to put the real traitors are Thackeray and his henchmen working for selfish gains. Probably they are getting foreign money for the obliteration of the country. If Thackeray is so brawny why can't he go against the Mumbai underworlds? Why he can't stop the running of Red Light Street?
It is also to be pointed out that India-Pak discussion in India is always a repulsive item and in that context it is better for film fraternity to wisely avoid their involvement in such debates.

CPM-CPI clash?

Kerala CPM’s bid to push Tata out from Munnar would likely to end in a clash between CPM and CPI. It is CPI that gave an upper hand to Tata in Munnar because with out Tata CPI could not republish their Janayugom(Nunayugam). If any doubt ask to Ismail(His-smile)

Rat woman is again the rat woman

Vellappally Natesan is an abkari turned Yogam leader. He just organized an Ezhava rally at Kochi by spending a sum of Rs 5crore, when lakhs of his community men starve. All the bridges and road side of NH47 were decorated with yellow satin clothes. Nevertheless, the rally brought him little. He is still the same abkari turned Yogam leader. Mooshika Sthree is again the Mooshika Sthree!

A tough task for Achuthanandan

The CPM unit of Kerala has resolved to give strict instruction to their own Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan not to resort any act to evict farmers and traders of ‘Brown’ Munnar. Is there any one in Munnar other than farmers or traders to be evacuated? Does Achuthandandan need a certificate from T Nazzrudin, the traders’ president, that the encroacher is not a businessman?
Grabbing government land, constructing illegal resorts and selling them to others is a good business in Munnar. And it is a tough task for Achuthanandan to find an encroacher based on his party line.

Justice denied

The beating of Youth Congress men by police at Thiruvananthapuram on twentieth January is just another typical case of justice denial by the Ruling Front of Kerala. The Youth Congress were just demonstrating for a genuine cause as good number of educated youths are in the grip of huge disappointment due to the job denial attitude of the Kerala Ministers. Instead of making avail job opportunities for the unwaged youth, the Government is seen resorting fraud means to enhance the retirement age of government employees and college teachers. It is deplorable to find that no appointment to post of college teacher was done in the last fifteen years and plans are in the offing to continue this no recruitment sketch to another five years. Letting in the old foxes in colleges to continue for another 5-10 with their obsolete knowledge is dreary in fact. The absence of political motivation is the major barricade hindering reforms in our system of power. Ministers lack vision and breadth of imagination and what in they are interested is the smooth sail over present day tides. They do not foretell the tsunamis yet to come. Youth Congress agitation is a warning in this direction and Kerala politicians must comprehend the real issues of unemployment.JW

Pinarayi-the prospective Christ!

Defending DYFI men who assaulted writer Paul Zachariah, what Pinarayi said is that everyone should speak in ways that please the audience. The very example he himself had shaped once when called in a public speech a Catholic Bishop as ‘disgusting creature’. All audience present in the gathering were overwhelmed with joy by Pinarayi speak!
For Pinarayi Communist leaders like EMS are identical to Jesus Christ and Allah. And in future a more vulgar comrade will equate Pinraryi to Jesus Christ!

Et tu, Brute Zachariah?

Writer Paul Zachariah needs that kick. He was all the time assaulting RSS and Matha Amrithanadamayi with his wicked writings and he was then supported by godless CPM cadres. Payyannur incident is a warning to Zachariah for his ill speaks to everything and everybody. The DYFI men became only a tool in hands of god. What is much there for Zachariah to protect Rajmohan Unnithan who was caught with a woman from a house in Manjeri?

More interesting is the denunciation of the incident by the Cultural Minister M A Baby. Beat him first and then seek apology, is not all a new stratagem to warn people. Nevertheless Baby’s party has not yet identified any DYFI men involved in the incident. Kodiyeri would say ‘Et tu, Brute?’, as one more cultural leader abandoned his police and party.

Suggestion to Kerala State DYFI Secretary.

If the plans of DYFI State secretary to discover new ways to win over sections of the youth in Kerala , are sincere, here is my suggestion. Ask your doctor professor minister Thomas Isaac to stop inviting educated youths for ‘public begging’, I mean lottery selling. Instead mobilize your mechanism to find opportunities in public and private undertakings for your followers. The ludicrous move to enhance retirement age of government employees including teachers should be obstinately opposed and for that you could look at the wise move by the AIYF, your counter outfit in the CPI.

Skin thickness of Pinarayi and his counsel

The CBI special court dismissing Pinarayi Vijayan's appeal to include Defence Minister A K Antony as a witness in the SNC-Lavalin graft case is a welcome gesture. And more interesting is the stance of Pinarayi’s counsel. The counsel says there is no harm for Pinarayi by this decision of the court. Then what was for his client filed this case? Is court a place to play golly? Regarding skin thickness, his counsel is not too far from Pinarayi.
