CPM is imploding

The ruling CPI(M) in Kerala is protecting the offenders behind the SNC Lavalin scam who siphoned off money from the State exchequer. Except Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan all neo-liberals in the party are trying to protect Mr Pinarayi Vijayan, the ninth accused in the scam. They even asked pseudo-intellects like Mr KEN Kunjahamed to come out openly against Mr Achuthanandan. By protecting the corrupt and attacking the Chief Minister — the person who is responsible for getting the party to power in Kerala — these people will take Kerala CPI(M) to its grave.

Minister insulted the CBI

The CBI has done a wonderful job by finding all the corrupts in the infamous Lavalin scam where hundreds of crores of rupees had been siphoned out by politician-bureaucrat nexus. The case is one which proved the skill of the CBI to unearth corruption. Annoyed by the CBI finding, that Pinrayi Vijayan, the state sectreatry of Marxist party in Kerala is one of the accused, the party leaders started campaigning against the CBI.

It is not only CBI, the experts who know the case also argue that it was a clear case of political corruption. SNC Lavalin had promised to pay Rs. 98.3 crores to the Malabar Cancer Centre (MCC) as a reward for contract to them at an estimated cost of Rs. 283 crores. The validity and transparency related to the promised payments by SNC Lavalin were being questioned and doubts were raised even by a few top leaders of the CPI(M) too. SNC Lavalin has reportedly agreed to arrange Canadian aid to the tune of Rs.98 crores from various agencies including the Canadian International Development Agency, but has not arranged the promised amount. The cancer treatment centre still remains as the evidence to the infringement of the assurance. The assurance was a part of the agreement between KSEB and SNC Lavalin. The promised money went into the pockets of the accused.

While, the truth runs likewise, in Kerala, the Marxist leaders started abusing CBI erecting huge cut-outs of Pinrarayi. And one opportunistic minister who is infamous for filthy mouth abused CBI as a hodgepodge of idiots. He insulted CBI, a constitutional body and thus he slighted the constitution. The minister should be immediately dismissed from the cabinet.

Desperate bid of a deceitful lieutenant

In a desperate bid to save from CBI charge of criminal conspiracy by Pinarayi Vijayan in the SNC-Lavalin scandal his deceitful lieutenant Kerala Devaswom Minister G Sudhakarn called CBI as a conglomeration of idiots. Does anyone need more evidence of the remarks that Sudhakaran is harebrained?

Marxist velakali in Ambalapuzha.

Ambalapuzha is a beautiful small town in Alappuzha district of Kerala state and is famed for its Sri Krishna temple. The place is also famous for its Velakali, a form of group dance held in the open air as an exhibition of the martial feats in front of the Raja of Ambalapuzha (erstwhile Chempakassery). And now Raja has turned in to minister, not one, but two, and the Velalai has been transformed into ‘head rolling feat’. As one rebel of the CPM simulated the “Shornur model” a few heads of the local leaders had rolled down as the result of disciplinary action. Nevertheless, one feels that the apt head to be rolled down is of the minister who always keeps a non-sense mouth wide open.

Is Interpol enough?

Is Interpol enough?
Sir,
Central leadership of CPI(M) blaming the Congress for charge sheeting Kerala State secretary of the party Pinarayi Vijayan by the CBI in the Lavalin scam is superfluous. If CBI is an unclean agency then which agency the Marxists prefer for enquiry? Do they concur with Interpol? It seems the only Marxist leader who has not received any money in Lavalin deal is VS Achuthanandan. And it prompts one to doubt the linking of some Politburo members too other than Pinarayi in the dubious deal. It was Achuthanandan who determinedly argued for the CBI inquiry in the Lavalin case and ‘Crime” Editor Nandakumar with his case in the High Court brought such a twirl.

Even if it is a big issue, there will be no change in the corporate culture of the party if Pinarayi is replaced by a worse one like E P Jayarajan or Kodiyeri as the party is engrossed with the money making privatization culture. The CPI(M) decision to take the issue to the people will not work as the people know the whole episode rather fully well. The Shornur- Amblapuzha by-elections revealed the truth as it exposed the corrupt practices of the party.

The statement of Pinarayi that "let everything come out, I've nothing to say as of now," is a clear cut indication of his dubious involvement in the Lavalin scam.

Bone-crushing unit?

Kerala Devaswom-Cooperation Minister G Sudhakaran’s power consumption charge for October 2008 was only Rs 465. But this grew to Rs 8,218 in December. Did the minister install any ‘bone-crushing unit’ in his residence by the time?

Fraud members and priests of Devaswom

A non-believer in God in charge of Devaswom is a not big question in Kerala. However,
Kerala Devaswom Minister G Sudhakaran, a skeptic by birth, now started thinking about the presence of God. And the same he will be convinced after the next election. Meanwhile all the Devaswom members and priests of Travancore and Kochi could think of a mass suicide for their minister saying in a public meeting organized by Malabar Devaswom that all of them are corrupt.

Since no apparent change has occurred for heroes for last 30 years presumably Mammootty and Mohanlal will be in lead roles as lovers. I have two cute girls studying in Kindergarten-one in LKG and other in UKG. May I propose these girls as heroines to our super stars dear directors? Please inform

Actor’s donation for senseless students.

It is great news in Desabhimani daily today that the new Malayalam tinsel world sensation, actor Prithiraj subscribing the daily for one year. He has paid one year subscription amount in advance to District Secretary of CPM at Kottayam while acting in a new film. This subscription is an inevitability for the actor to guard his money and his mother’s in the “Total for U” financiers. However, the actor is not going to read the daily as he has contributed it a nearby school where poor students study. What actually the actor meant are not poor students but poor and nonsensical students. Does Desabhimani contain any rational news and sensible facts other than news of group-hitting and violence?

CPM-NSS standoff will not continue too long

The standoff between CPI (M) and (NSS) will not last for too long as there will be immediate reconciliation between two because election to the Parliament is in need of attention. When CPI(M) secretary Pinarayi infuriates NSS with appalling remarks Chief Minister VS Achuthanandan’s gentle gesture asking NSS to show its secularist character is a signal in that direction.
However, one appealing matter is while Pinrayi and NSS general secretary PK Narayana Panicker accuse each other for creating communal divide in the state, both are obviously doing the same. Pinarayi when praises SNDP and certain Muslim outfits, Panicker is hand-in-hand with Christian communities. Both the leaders have their own contributions to carry the present communal dissonance in the state. The person getting much advantage of the current turmoil is SNDP Yogam secretary Vellappalli Natesan. He has innumerable glass covered cement structures of Sree Nararayana Guru in the state and often the glasses of one or two are smashed every night. Vellappalli comes then with protest and remains in channel screens happy with his newly implanted milk white teeth.

The significant aspect that the state faces is the meaning of the word ‘social justice’. Panicker’s social justice is not Vellappally’s and that is entirely different from that of Pinrayi. All are conspicuously creating tension among communities in the society and it will possibly subside after the election. Meanwhile, to keep a wit, remember about those not so old flex boards of Panicker and Natesan appearing as ‘Aniyan Bava and Chettan Bava’

Minister licensed to defame others.

It interesting to note that Kerala’s hedonistic minister G Sudhkaran came against Youth Congress president T Siddique with an advocate notice demanding Rs 10crore for defaming him by the latter in public. If Sudhakaran is eligible for Rs 10 crore compensation then he has dues in tune with several crores for defaming others. The minister’s notice is only to attract media attention.

Minister Sudhakaran has insulted many others including IAS officers Bharat Bhushan, and K Suresh Kumar, former health minister V M Sudheeran, and the present Defence minister A K Antony, all the members in the Devaswom Board, congress leaders K.C. Venugopal , Babu Prasaad, K K Shaju, all the temple priests and government secretaries saying they are without underwear and like the sort. The legislators have mafia activities according to Sudhakaran. Who gave permission to this despicable minister to defame others with his twisted tongue? However, these people did not send any advocate notice to him. Though K K Shaju gave a written complaint against Sudhakaran for making derogatory comments about his caste, amazingly the minister escaped from arrest.

People of the state recognize well it is Sudhakaran who uses more derogatory language than others. Siddique has done a noble job against this outrageous, pretentious minister. G Sudhakarn does not know the meaning of the word ‘minister’
