Minister insulted the CBI

The CBI has done a wonderful job by finding all the corrupts in the infamous Lavalin scam where hundreds of crores of rupees had been siphoned out by politician-bureaucrat nexus. The case is one which proved the skill of the CBI to unearth corruption. Annoyed by the CBI finding, that Pinrayi Vijayan, the state sectreatry of Marxist party in Kerala is one of the accused, the party leaders started campaigning against the CBI.

It is not only CBI, the experts who know the case also argue that it was a clear case of political corruption. SNC Lavalin had promised to pay Rs. 98.3 crores to the Malabar Cancer Centre (MCC) as a reward for contract to them at an estimated cost of Rs. 283 crores. The validity and transparency related to the promised payments by SNC Lavalin were being questioned and doubts were raised even by a few top leaders of the CPI(M) too. SNC Lavalin has reportedly agreed to arrange Canadian aid to the tune of Rs.98 crores from various agencies including the Canadian International Development Agency, but has not arranged the promised amount. The cancer treatment centre still remains as the evidence to the infringement of the assurance. The assurance was a part of the agreement between KSEB and SNC Lavalin. The promised money went into the pockets of the accused.

While, the truth runs likewise, in Kerala, the Marxist leaders started abusing CBI erecting huge cut-outs of Pinrarayi. And one opportunistic minister who is infamous for filthy mouth abused CBI as a hodgepodge of idiots. He insulted CBI, a constitutional body and thus he slighted the constitution. The minister should be immediately dismissed from the cabinet.
