Time for traditionalists in the party

Presumably May sixteenth, the election result day, will be a doom day for the neo-liberalists in the Marxist party of Kerala. And that is why the official leadership headed by State secretary Pinarayi Vijayan, is seen desperate and are to fix the responsibility of any poll debacle with the Achuthanandan faction. Disciplinary actions have already begun to be taken against several leaders of the VS faction on the charge of vote-freezing and transfer.
.
The SNC Lavalin corruption scandal, the poll alliance with the terrorist group the PDP, the hostile attitude of the party to the LDF constituents, the Santiago Martin-Faris duo episode would definitely reflect in the election results and would become a death blow to the Pinarayi faction. Meanwhile, the deliberations on freezing or transferring vote are meaningless effort because it is the people and not the party leadership to decide whom to vote or not to vote.

Mystery behind blast

One can not rule out the allegation that a mystery surrounds the blast at Patyam, Kannur on April 16 in which the son of CPI(M) MLA P Jayarajan and a friend were seriously hurt. The CPM version that the injuries to Jayarajan’s son occurred are due to fire crackers is unbelievable. And obviously Kodiyeri’s police is playing a hide and seek game in charging case against Jayarajan’s son. Party men can do anything dreadful under Kodiyeri police as Kodiyeri the man who took licence for manufacturing bomb inside police stations.

As the father so the son and that is what happened in P Jayarajan’s case. Jayarajan is notorious for his violence in Kannur. An obedient son, therefore, can not be blamed at all.
Kannur is a land of political violence and even judicial forums have observed it. Still instead of reducing the tense situation in the area the CPM minister is approaching the apex court to remove HC findings.

Patyam in Kannur is becoming more and more frightful day by day. Several houses in the area are functioning as bomb-making units. And in that context more relevant is the biblical quote: “He who lives by the sword dies by the sword “

Isaac offended womanhood.

It is read that a case has been registered against the film actor Sanjay Dutt for making derogatory and undignified remarks against chief minister Mayawati during an election speech. He was booked on obscenity charges for allegedly offering kiss to UP chief minister Mayawati. Dutt’s act is considered as an insult to Indian Womanhood and if so here in Kerala there is a similar act against womanhood by the Kerala Finance Minister Dr T M Thomas Isaac.

The incident occurred in the Kanjikizhy village of Alappuzha district while inaugurating the performance of women chenda artists playing the shingari melam. Inauguation was done in a novel way, in the presence of Alappuzha District panchayat President R Nazer and other branded comrades. It is well-known that when Chenda is played, it should be hung from the shoulder of the artist and there will be none other than the artist to support the chenda. And when Isaac performed the art for inauguration, instead of suspending Chenda from his shoulder, he used one hanging on the stomach of a woman performer. The scene was eye-catching nevertheless, if shown in a film the people would get mortified. Isaac performing his chenda stick on the platform arranged on the lower abdomen of a woman artist is more than an abusive sexual gesticulation and an outrageous act against modesty of woman. Isaac with his inaugural performance of shingari melam, offended the art and insulted womanhood. He is liable to be charged under section that is applied to Sanjay Dutt.

Asathyameva Jayathe!

The statement made by BJP president Rajnath Singh that the alliance between the CPI(M) and the Abdul Naseer Madani’s Peoples Democratic Party is harmful for the country, is absolutely spot on. The CPI(M) claims that the PDP supremo has ‘reformed’. I am curious to know on what grounds the Marxists base this assumption. By defending people like Madani they are vitiating the communal harmony that exists in Kerala.

People of Kerala know that Madani uses his speeches to raise provocations.
He is also making character assassination against his opponents. His comment on Shahida Kamal, the UDF candidate of Kasargod constituency is an indication in this respect. Madani’s ‘Sathyameva Jayathe’ march was a farce and is aimed at distorting truth. Madani tendering apologies to the media time and again for using insensitive words is a tactic to get media attention. Now it is media’s turn to fling Madani to the corner. How can one take back filthy words such as “beggars on the street” uttered against media? Interestingly, Madani admits that his wife Sufia was mentally ill. One can also expect in the near future the same words from Sufia about her husband.

There should be some restrictions for misusing the national motto “Sathyameva Jayathe”

Ask caste!

‘Ask not, say not, think not caste’ was the Sreee Narayana Guru’s ultimate advice to his followers. But Vellapally Natesan, the general secretary of the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana Yogam (SNDP), asks, says and thinks caste. The leaders of all Fronts after keeping all secular credentials in safe deposit lockers are queuing before Vellapyy’s house at Kanichukulangara. He has asked his followers to vote for 5 LDF candidates and 10 UDF-a new dimension in equi-diastant policy.Famous Malayalam poet Kumaran Ashan was the Yogam’s first general secretary and Natesan is polluting the post occupied by the great poet. Perhaps the disenchant of Guru about Yogam at the fag end of his life was due to his farsightedness which enable him to see a liquor baron in the chair of Asan. The Guru was totally against the production of liquor but for Vellappally one or two pegs are essential for a good night sleep.Natesan asking Ezhavas to vote according to his dictate is nothing but deflating the community’s struggle against caste systems and democracy. Now in Kerala it seems all political power struggles are controlled by Vellappally, Madani and of course G Sudhakaran.

Karat absolves Antony in Israeli missile deal

Interesting to read CPI(M) general secretary Karat giving a clean chit to Defence Minister AK Antony in the controversial deal with Israel for Barak missiles. He did not think Antony had any black role in the deal. Then it is also the responsibility of Karat to ask his party comrade and Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Isaac to swallow without water all the abuses that are hurled upon Antony by him about the missile deal. Isaac was searching for opponents of his ‘stature’ and he found Antony suitable. Isaac’s criticism is always aimed at Sonia and Antony.

If Karat thinks Antony had no part in the deal then where from Isaac got the news? Obviously, if Antony is trustworthy, Isaac is not.

Marxists threatening Election Commission

It seems a tough task for Election Commission of India to smooth conduct elections at places like Kannur where law and order are under the full control of Marxist thugs like P Sasi anf M V Jayarajan. They with their henchmen prevented officials from removing Left Democratic Front candidate’s hoardings displayed at the LDF election committee office near the Collectorate. They questioned the officials headed by Additional District Magistrate who went to remove and deface the illegal campaign materials in the vicinity as directed by District Collector Dinesh Arora. The officials returned when the CPM campaigners and leaders prevented the officials from removing the hoarding displayed on a private building.

If this is the harsh experience of a District Collector in charge of election how could other lower officers conduct election free and fair? In these circumstances mere deploying of more police personnel to sector officers will not solve the problem. Instead there should be action from the EC to cancel the candidature of LDF contender.

Meanwhile the Marxist ministers and leaders are active in threatening election officials to meet consequence after the election. In Ambalapusha and Harippad, the Devaswom Minister G Sudhakaran had already threatened election officials to heed his dictate, otherwise meet the upshot. Immediate action from Election Commission is needed to control ministers violating election code of conduct.
