Musical door competition.

In a musical chair competition there are a dozen players and a dozen minus one chairs, that is, one chair less than the number of players. The play is performed at the stroke of a bell and one person is left at the end and he would be the winner. In a similar manner a new competition was invented by the UDF in Kerala and it is known as ‘musical door competition’. The number players required is three to four, however, a closed room to which others have no access, is essential. This play was performed last by three political achievers in Kerala namely K M Mani, Remesh Chennithala, and Oommen Chandy. They are all competitors for Chief Ministerial post in the coming election. The three had already given orders to their tailors for making white clothes suited for the chair of Chief Minister.

The play was performed by the three last day in the presence of reporters. The three would enter into a room and close the door. After five minute one would come out and give some information to the news men. He returns and after five minute the other comes out to news men opening the same door. It is repeated turn by turn and the person who makes maximum number of appearance before the reporters is the potential candidate for the Chief Minister post. This competition is performed to go ahead with the decision to “agree to disagree” till the issue of Joseph merger with Mani could be settled later.

Actually the LDF and UDF are worried over the laxity of the people to vote in the next election. And without energizing them these leaders could not take people to polling booths. And that is why the UDF has invented the musical door completion. A similar one will be performed by the LDF soon to woo the people.
