Game in the Marxist party will continue.

Finally the Marxist party has conceded the corruption. Kerala’s Chief Minister and veteran Communist leader, V. S. Achuthanandan, was axed from CPI-M politburo and central committee by Pinrayi-Karat coterie. The ground is flimsy- party indiscipline. Nevertheless low profile leaders like Sivadasa Menon, Thomas Isaac, M M Lawrence, P Jyarajan, MV Jayarajan and others recognized for severe unruliness are still in the party. One who questioned corruption is outside the party where as corrupt is inside it. Karat-Brinda and other available PB members would find a tough time to clarify the matter among common people in the coming days. When a person accused by the Central Bureau of Investigation in the Rs.374 crore SNC Lavalin corruption case is still in party high stratum, the allegation that Karat and others have also shared a part of the corruption money could not be ruled out.

Karat and coterie did not recognize the sentiments of common man as most of them are campus recruits unable to understand peoples’ choice. The reason Karat was dead against sparing Achuthanandan would be evident if an investigation is made into the routes through Lavalin money has flown.

Evidently the Marxist party is trapped between the mass and the party corrupts. If Achuthanandan gives a positive nod to his men the party will sink. However he would not do that as the party is his blood and breathe. The Politburo has made a mistake, biggest in its entire history by grueling Acuthananadan. Chances of a split in the party can be ruled out as Achuthanandan will be the last one to ruin his own party. Nevertheless, I believe that he has enough weapons in his to target against Karat, Pinrayi, Kodiyeri, Sreemathi, Thomas Isaac and all the Jayarajans. The party corrupts have underestimated the probables of the veteran leader. The game will not end soon.
