Isaac’s award lured Azhikode !

Though not accepted openly by Azhikode, the offer of the award as brand ambassador for corruption-free campaign by Kerala Finance Minister T M Thomas Isaac has been rewarded. The self proclaimed social activist Sukumar Azhikode came heavily on Chief Minister Achuthanandan saying that the latter is a traitor. Sukumar Azhikode told media persons that Achuthanandan should not have laughed and reacted in the manner he did on hearing the Kerala election results.

Of late Azhikode is not sold well in the State for his partisan attitude. Smelling this Azhikode decided to take the same path followed by Pinrayi’s whistle bowlers like M Mukundan and K E N Kunjahemed. And that is why Azhikode was preaching about collective responsibility of every Keralite and other things. Where was this critic when E P Jayarajan collected crores from Santiago Martin? What happened to this activist when CBI charge-sheeted Pinarayi in the SNC Lavelin? Why did he keep mum when G Sudhakaran abused all the noble people in the state with his nasty tongue?

Once, Azhikode appreciated Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan's stern stance on the Munnar eviction drive. Then he said “The Chief Minister had not gone to the U.S. for lessons on public management. It was his long years of `honest public service' that made Achuthanandan a popular man among the public”. Now what provoked Azhikode to take different stand? Is it Thomas Isaac’s award lured Azhikode to doubt about Achuthanadan’s honesty?
