No money is needed for Karunakaran!

Former Chief Minister of Kerala, K. Karunakaran has again been admitted to hospital because of his serious illness. His previous admittance to hospital was on September 11.
And this time when he was admitted to Ananthapuri Super Specialty Hospital, at Thiruvananthaapuram his son was at Kozhikode and daughter was at Kochi. Then who were there in Thiruvanthapuram to care this poor old man who owns only Rs 6000 in cash and a gold ring in kind? The message is: a four time Chief Minister needs no money for treatment in any of the hospitals in Kerala!

Mulakkacha gives good scope for the film Pazhassi Raja

The film Pazhassi Raja has become a big hit in Malayalam cinema. The producer Gookulam Gopalan has made a huge profit out of it, not only in business but in fame also. He is now in a stage to counter his opponent Vellappally Natesan of the SNDP. Vellappay is left with no choice other than to make a similar film to offset Gokulam. The makers of the film claim that their film would help people to revive the memories of unsung heroes like Pazhassi but one could not concur. The film was only an attempt to make money.

Though the film has several technical advantages it is not compatible with Hollywood films. The action sequences were poorly shot and Mammootty’s physique is not susceptible to tedious efforts. It is unwise to compare this film with worldwide applauded Chinese martial art films like Crouching Tiger. And when it comes to the histrionic skills, Mammootty stands far behind Sarath Kumar and even Manoj K Jayan in this film. The half naked adivasi women seen in plenty in the film is a crooked craft to attract more youths to the film. Even Padmapriya has been obliged to exhibit her thigh and when it happens in this film there is a huge disturbance among younger viewers. Padmapriya and Kaniha appearing half naked with ‘mulakkacha’ gave good scope for younger viewers to see the film over and over again.

Moon Impact for Sudhakaran.

The ‘moon defect’ comment by UDF Convener P P Thankachan about Kerala Co-operation Minister G Sudhakaran has hit the bull’s eye. The Minister is crying like a stray dog that received a bang on its back. He is now crawling on the floor of advocates’ offices to remove the blot on his modesty shaped by Thankachan’s comment. Really Thankachan had done a good act.

All Keralites know well that Minister G Sudhakaran is infamous for his non-sense talk.
He while as minister produced more foes than friends with his ugly tongue. He ridiculed leaders like K R Gouri Amma, who is supposed to be his mentor, A K Antony, Oommen Chandy, V M Sudheeran, NSS assistant secretary and others. He called IAS Officer Bharat Bhushan as dog and searched for the underwear temple priests and government under secretaries. His portfolio is not too significant still he made much hue and cry. And at last he ridiculed Thankachan calling him as ‘person going for dinner without invitation’. The harsh response from an otherwise silent leader Thankachan has done what was then necessary. Sudhakaran twisted his body as a rat snake got hit on its tail. He sent advocate notice to Thankachan for Rs 10crore compensation. Is this amount enough for the compensation that Sudhakaran had to give if those persons mocked by Suhakaran go for damages?

So it is time for Sudhakaran to stop creating fuss in public. Thakachan’s ‘moon defect’ comment is really a ‘moon impact’ for Sudhakaran.

Backhanders of Amaravila

All transferred State Government employees of Amaravila check post in Kerala border can think of self carnage as their minister Thomas Isaac had ridiculed them calling corrupt and backhanders. Let us hope minister’s imported holy cows would turn Amaravila into a sale tax paradise of no bribe. Why can’t Saint Thomas Isaac extent his Rs 25000 perk to Village-Registration offices, and police stations where everyday one or two are suspended from service for unconsecrated act?

Losers of the Marxist Human Chain

The Union commerce ministry issued multi-colour advertisements in newspapers asking people of the State of Kerala not to be misled by wrong campaigns against the ASEAN agreement went futile. The CPI-M party programme, the Human Chain, though disguisedly organized as a drama to divert the attention of people from Lavalin and worsening Law and Order, was a big success. Noticeably, the small tea shop owners were the real losers in the human chain. All snacks and soft drinks in their shops sold out exactly at 5pm but no payment has been received. In addition, the cadres forcefully took away soft drink bottles, glasses and kettles for future use and even asked vendors to contact Pinarayi for the money. The vendors are left with no option to get back their money and equipments as petitions against Marxist cadres are not entertained in any of the police stations in Kerala
There was also blatant violation of the traffic rules throughout the human chain. The cadres in triple shared the same bike without bearing helmet for reaching at the Human Chain spot specified for them. Nevertheless, the Human Chain seems is the better mode of protest than Hartal or Bandh as the local leaders have to fret a little for people turn out. The human chain configuration is not easy as calling a hartal and waiting in front of TV with snacks and soda glass.

Needed dress code for Kerala ministers

The Thekkadi lake boat tragedy was horrifying. It killed 42 people from across country. The Government machinery and the local people did their best though the CPI leaders found no time to visit the spot. More horrifying was the fashion parade of certain ministers at the accident spot. For instance note the colourful sherwani of Finance Minister Thomas Isaac. Was he posing in Fashion Channel? Needed a dress code for Kerala Ministers.
