Karat absolves Antony in Israeli missile deal

Interesting to read CPI(M) general secretary Karat giving a clean chit to Defence Minister AK Antony in the controversial deal with Israel for Barak missiles. He did not think Antony had any black role in the deal. Then it is also the responsibility of Karat to ask his party comrade and Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Isaac to swallow without water all the abuses that are hurled upon Antony by him about the missile deal. Isaac was searching for opponents of his ‘stature’ and he found Antony suitable. Isaac’s criticism is always aimed at Sonia and Antony.

If Karat thinks Antony had no part in the deal then where from Isaac got the news? Obviously, if Antony is trustworthy, Isaac is not.

Marxists threatening Election Commission

It seems a tough task for Election Commission of India to smooth conduct elections at places like Kannur where law and order are under the full control of Marxist thugs like P Sasi anf M V Jayarajan. They with their henchmen prevented officials from removing Left Democratic Front candidate’s hoardings displayed at the LDF election committee office near the Collectorate. They questioned the officials headed by Additional District Magistrate who went to remove and deface the illegal campaign materials in the vicinity as directed by District Collector Dinesh Arora. The officials returned when the CPM campaigners and leaders prevented the officials from removing the hoarding displayed on a private building.

If this is the harsh experience of a District Collector in charge of election how could other lower officers conduct election free and fair? In these circumstances mere deploying of more police personnel to sector officers will not solve the problem. Instead there should be action from the EC to cancel the candidature of LDF contender.

Meanwhile the Marxist ministers and leaders are active in threatening election officials to meet consequence after the election. In Ambalapusha and Harippad, the Devaswom Minister G Sudhakaran had already threatened election officials to heed his dictate, otherwise meet the upshot. Immediate action from Election Commission is needed to control ministers violating election code of conduct.

Madani move will cost CPM

The statement made by BJP president Rajnath Singh that the alliance between the CPI(M) and the Abdul Naseer Madani’s Peoples Democratic Party is harmful for the country, is absolutely spot on. The CPI(M) claims that the PDP supremo has ‘reformed’. I am curious to know on what grounds the Marxists base this assumption. By defending people like Madani they are vitiating the communal harmony that exists in Kerala.

Kannur killing never ends.

Kannur killing never stops.

Communist Party of India (Marxist) got yet another activist dead at Koothuparamba, Kannur for Pinarayi Vijayan and E P Jayarajan to stand in attention before the dead body and raise their hands to shout slogans. When the court recently observed the never ending violence of Kannur as an indication of the utter failure of the Kerala Home Department, the Marxist leaders were seen much irritated. Do they have say at this time? The scene of persons lying dead in pool of blood in Kannur and elsewhere would never end if attack is directed to its leaders. I recollect the incident of BJP activists attacking CPM Leader Yetchury at New Delhi when their men were indiscriminately attacked by CPM cadres at Kannur. The virtually surprised CPM leaders sent strong signals to their Kerala counter parts and thus there was an ephemeral calm in the troubled area. Unless this type of policy is evolved it is impossible to secure peace in Kannur.

The CPM alleging Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh workers and the latter alleging the former for all killings is the route cause of the violence in Kannur. All deaths in Kannur are taken politically by the CPM and RSS and that leads to further killings. As Home Department managed by Marxist minister is sluggish in taking stringent action police personnel also find tough time in handing Kannur violence efficiently. It is time for Election Commission of India to ask the Kerala Chief Minister replace the present Home Minister for his inefficacy in handling law and order properly.

The sacrificial goat.

The sacrificial goat.
Ms Sindhu Joy seems as the sacrificial goat of the Kerala CPM. The first sacrifice was at Puthupally against Oommen Chandy. Next turn is at Ernakulam Parliament Constituency where the opposite candidate of the Congress is yet to emerge, after cleaning and cooking at madam’s Italian cuisine. However, the Pastoral Orientation Centre of KCBC is not in disposition to memorize the most famous Christian teaching “forgive and be kind”. Sindhu Joy’s heartrending prayer song to “Holy Mary” fell in deaf ears. KCBC Secretary Fr Spephen Alathara with his shrill voice has indirectly given signal to Ms Joy that the Church has abandoned the policy of ‘forgiveness’

Not only Sindhu Joy but all prospective candidates should remember about the future outcomes of their thoughtless acts. This election is too early for people especially faithful to forget the damage done by Sindhu Joy and her party henchmen against Education system in general and Christian educational institutions in particular. Personally speaking MM Lawrence is more apt a candidate than Sindhu Joy at Ernakulam as old goose often has nothing lose.

A fair minister quits

Mathew T Thomas was a reasonable minister in the Achuthanandan Ministry of Kerala. There is not even a single case in the entire political history of Kerala where a transport minister never accused of corruption. He differs from the raucous and corrupt ministers of the CPM. For instance he diverges from minister G Sudhakaran as he never used filthy words like the latter. He differs from Kodiyeri as his sons or daughters never indulged in crime. He differs from M A Baby as he never made the Kerala Transport Corporation a muddle just as Baby did in Education Department. He differs from T M Thomas Isaac as he did not announce any gimmick like free bribe zone and other hullabaloo. He varies from Elamarm Kareem because he never tried selling Government owned land to private parties. He is different from P K Sreemathi as he did not make any dubious purchase. He was free from corruption because he did not belong to the CPM.

Gorbechov of the LDF

Kerala CPM’s secular credentials are a gimmick. The absence of a leader like EMS is very much evident from the get-together of the party with Islamic fundamentalists. As the Christians from all parts of the State have distanced from the party, it is in a desperate bid to woo Muslims by associating openly with fundamentalists. The Islamic fundamentalist KEN Kunjahemed in disguise as Marxist ideologist sees Madani has made a shift from his extremist past. Was Madani in contact with Kunjahemed all the time to tell his deformation from his uncouth past?

It is Veliyam Bhargavan of the CPI to be congratulated for his firm stance against Madani and Hussein Randathani. Randathani may be allowed to continue his service as principal as there is no urgent demand for his service in parliament. There are plenty of others without any particular job but more informed than Randathani to serve the country.
Achuthanandan recently said in Shankumukham beach that Pinarayi, modern Gorbechov, will spoil the party. His watching has come true, not for the party but for the Left Front.
